The village hall is situated at the heart of the village of Dunsford, on the eastern edge of the Dartmoor National Park. The village has a number of traditional thatched cottages; Dunsford Community Academy which has a swimming pool, climbing wall and sports field; one village shop and post office; a tea room and a the village pub The Royal Oak. St Mary's Church, built in the 1400's is located in the village centre. Dunsford holds a village show at the beginning of July every year and the Dunsford Amateur Dramatic Society (DADS) produces a very popular pantomime in the Village Hall each January. Many local groups meet regularly in the Village Hall - amongst which we are home to Acorn, Pilates, Yoga, 2 art groups, The Dunsford Singers, a Toddlers Group and the school use the facilities too. The Parish Council hold their meetings here as well. |
We're looking for more people to join the Village Hall Management Committee. We hold 4 committee meetings a year and run our own programme of events to raise money for the upkeep of the hall.
